Position Description:

This is a full-time position as an assistant/associate teacher with responsibility working in conjunction with Lead Teacher(s) to deliver curriculum as well as planning and implementing lessons; creating a supportive and intellectual learning environment; and supporting classroom teachers in meeting the needs of all students. This position may be located at our East Campus (3663 Wilshire Boulevard.) or West Campus (11661 W. Olympic Boulevard.).

Responsibilities:

• Work with classroom teacher to plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
• Work with classroom teacher to differentiate instruction as necessary to meet the needs of all students
• Support classroom teacher to communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs
• Work with classroom teacher to maintain an organized, welcoming classroom environment conducive to student learning
• Use technology to support instruction
• Use appropriate classroom management strategies so that boundaries are clear and students feel comfortable and able to learn
• Collaborate with other faculty on school-wide curriculum, programming, and events
• Provide supervision for students during play and eating blocks, as well as other times throughout the day
• Show professionalism
• Grow and develop professionally

Compensation:

• $38,000-$45,000 based on experience and qualifications

Qualifications: 

• A minimum of three years experience as a lead teacher (when starting position)
• A minimum of a college bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred 
• United States teaching credential; a California credential is preferred
• Relevant teaching experience from independent, public, private, or charter schools 
• Knowledge of relevant technology, including AI integration

Desirable (not required) Qualifications: 

• Experience using Writer’s Workshop, phonics instruction (Fundations), Acadience/DIBELS assessment, Math in Focus, Zones of Regulation, and/or Responsive Classroom

Compensation: 

• $66,150 to $85,000 based on experience and qualifications 
  • Salary is based on employment from mid-August to mid-June, paid over twelve months

Position Description:

This is a full-time position at Brawerman West as an Upper Grade Academic Support Specialist with responsibility for working with Grades 3-6 students with varying challenges in accessing the curriculum. This is a highly collaborative position, requiring both expertise and flexibility. The Upper Grade Academic Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating accommodations for students and supporting teachers, in collaboration with and under the supervision of the Director of Student Support. As a member of the Brawerman West Academic Support Team, the Upper Grade Academic Support Specialist will develop and curate resources to aid teachers in research-based teaching practices, provide ongoing support and professional development for teachers, coordinate and support accommodation plans for students, provide small group and individual instruction for students recommended for support, and provide parents with relevant resources.

• Support students directly in 1:1 coaching sessions and in small group academic and curricular support 
• Support student learning by pushing into classrooms 
• Use a variety of assessment techniques to monitor student progress toward goals
• Work directly with educators to evaluate and implement strategies for supporting students
• Assist in identifying students who may need additional diagnostic testing for learning differences
• Interpret psychoeducational testing and design accommodation plans to be implemented by classroom and learning support educators
• Communicate with students and parents regarding accommodations and support
• Maintain accurate and complete records
• Manage and further develop a multi-tiered support process
• Manage referrals for student support through Student Support Team Meetings
• Work collaboratively with the Director of Student Support and the Student Support Team to optimize student growth and support
• Perform other duties as assigned by administration

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Professional background in education with an emphasis on special education and/or educational therapy
• Minimum of 3 years experience, preferably in a school setting

• $66,150 to $90,000 based on experience and qualifications

Position Description: 

Brawerman West Elementary School is seeking a nurturing and collaborative Assistant Math Specialist to support our elementary math program, with responsibility working in conjunction with the Math Specialist.

The Assistant Math Specialist will help implement best practices in mathematics instruction, support students across a range of abilities, assist in curriculum development and math lab instruction, and collaborate with faculty to strengthen math teaching and learning school-wide.
