Where Creativity Shines

From their earliest years through Grade 6, students explore visual art, music, and performance in ways that inspire their imagination and enrich their academic experience.Creative expression deepens understanding across subjects and helps students develop flexible, confident minds.

Exploring Artistic Expression

Our art specialists guide students in developing foundational skills while encouraging experimentation and originality. Students explore a wide range of materials and techniques, including painting, sculpture, collage, clay, and digital design. Whether illustrating a folktale, building a model, or exploring Jewish symbolism, students are invited to take creative risks and tell their own stories.

Making Music

Our music program is rooted in the Kodály Method and enriched by First Steps in Music, Orff Schulwerk, and Dalcroze Eurhythmics. Across all grades, students discover music history and global traditions, growing cultural awareness and creative curiosity.

  • Grades K--2: Singing, movement, and hands-on music making using hand percussion, including drums, xylophones, glockenspiels, and rhythm instruments, building coordination, listening, and musical confidence.
  • Grade 3: Recorder and ukulele study focused on music literacy, ensemble skills, and expressive playing.
  • Grade 4: Small-group instruction on flute, clarinet, saxophone, and trumpet, developing technique, collaboration, and musical independence.
  • Grade 5--6: Continued instrumental study through Lunch Band enrichment, alongside music composition and production using digital tools such as GarageBand.

A Stage for Every Student

Confidence grows when students have the chance to share their creativity with others. Whether performing in a musical, displaying artwork in the halls, or singing at a school-wide service, our students experience the pride of being seen and heard.

Why the Arts Matter

Arts education is a powerful tool for learning and development. Research shows that arts instruction supports:

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Collaboration and empathy
  • Cultural awareness and global understanding
  • Innovation, adaptability, and perseverance

Through the arts, students learn about the world as they begin to contribute to it.
